There exists a strong need in today’s industry to differentiate professionals who pursue sustainable land development from those who don’t. SLDI intends to serve that need through the development of a web-enabled professional educational program. SLDI is working in partnership with Texas A&M University, one of the largest and most respected institutions in the country for land development educational achievement. Texas A&M is one of five institutions to offer a Masters program in land development. Further, the university’s real estate finance and land economics programs are highly respected. Once initial certification is achieved, Affiliate Land Developer Members and Affiliate Land Professional Members graduate to “certified” status and become Member Owners according to the parameters outlined in the Membership Organization section outlined later in this document. In addition to web-enabled delivery of the educational program as outlined above, professionals can also attain credit toward certification by attending the Land Development Breakthroughs Conferences and Workshops. |
